        Job Summary: Director of Human Resources
        The primary role of the Human Resources Director within The Jane Pauley Community Health Center is to achieve the mission through the development of partnerships between team members, physicians, and the organization that is consistent with the Guiding Principles, Mission, and Vision. The incumbent will work with executive leaders on strategy and practice/department leaders on human capital management essentials. The main pillars of focus will be: Workforce characteristics, Demand, Cost and efficiency, Quality, and Satisfaction/Engagement. The Human Resources Director will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, payroll administration, employee relations, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment, employee development and employment law compliance.
        Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

        • Guides, coaches, and counsels managers and directors in effective Human Resource management strategies.
        • Collaborates with executive leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
        • Administers/oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, employee morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
        • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
        • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
        • Work with the executive management leaders to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
        • Develops, recommends, and administers Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices that support the mission of the assigned client base and the organization.
        • Leads and owns the compensation review and benefits review process for the assigned client base.
        • Supervise or manage other Human Resources team members.
        • Partners in the strategic planning process for the client base/organization through effective contribution at leadership team meetings, turnaround management, and peak performance meetings.
        • Undertakes special projects focused on identifying areas for improvement of work practices and redesigning.
        • Works collaboratively with other functions such as Legal during compliance or accreditation processes.
        • Drives redesign of customer work practices to enhance success of business unit.
        • Recommends, develops, and implements an electronic performance evaluation process that includes 30/60/90 and annual reviews.

          Supervisory Responsibilities:

          • Yes - all members of the Human Resources team.

            • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

              Education and/or Experience:

              • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Administration, Management, Business Administration, or the equivalent from an accredited college or university is required.
              • Master's Degree in Human Resources Administration, Management, Business Administration, or the equivalent is preferred.
              • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP preferred.
              • Five (5) years' experience in a professional-level position within Human Resources, or three (3) years supervisory or management experience in a health care environment is required.
              • Significant and progressive management-level experience within Human Resources is strongly preferred.
