  • Job Details
  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
  • The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
  • Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
  • Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.
  • TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
  • IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.
  • Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
  • If candidates have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package then they are eligible to apply.
  • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3 x 12.
  • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
  • Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6.
  • Unit Information: Cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation and overflow at times.

      • Schedule Information
      • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3 x 12
      • Call-Ins: make up the day during the pay period, or add the shift at the end of the contract
      • Charge coverage: unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation and overflow at times
          • Additional Details
          • Valid Driver's License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.
